Run logaan run!!!( 10K run 2005)

I swear i didnt think i would survive even 2 kms...Tanvi and i were simply looking for the relief vans, from the start!!Nimisha and her sis passed out by the time they reached lumbini park!!!!Tanvi and i kept shifting from walking to fast walking to faster walking to slow jogging to jogging.I am so proud of myself that i actually made it all the way.10 kilometers!!!!!We started at 7.55 AM and we steppep at the finish line at abt 9.20 smthin...not a great deal.but for a beginner WITHOUT PRIOR TRAINING, its pretty nice!!
Tanny tripped and fell in between.Had to pep her up to catch up.She has a great stamina for someone that pukes everything that is consumed.nimisha and her sis still managed to keep walking despite the exhaustion...the comperers of the evnt stunk mighty big time. The lady goes "cash prize of rupissss 5,000" and "cash yawaaard".man!entertainment u bet!
Hmm...anyways...I am sure the mal functioning of my lower body is worth all the fun i had today!!I mean, i was soooo in awe of roe that he manage 10 kms last year and all that. And I did it myself!!!!seriously i tend to under estimate my own worth at times...my thighs hurt,my kness dont bend,my entire leg wont move without a wierd twist, and I am proud of my accomplishment!Infact i was so terribly proud that sooo many people participated in the run!!Nice!!I sure am in deep fun, with the myriad trouble points in my body now....

charity??
guess it justifies the set of ppl that went about cribbing saying "paise bhi dena,10 km bhi bhaagna??"

Kedar, dint we conclude that Nimishas were raakshasas (ha, so much for a name!)

I was and am always skeptical of how all these help towards charity. And why these things dont happen much in the old city.

Yes, even at the saloon, we have to pay money and also part with our hair. drat!

Kedar,vidya:-Nimisha's parents unaware of this pyarellal theory, enlightened me that "Nimisha" meant "an eyelash"...
PS:-this year there was also another run called the half marathon that included the old city aussi...jus so they dont lag behind:-D

I am not assuming that people concerned dont know the meaning of that name, but of late, there is a huge demand for "new" and "earlier-unheard-of" names, and parents are found pouring through the "101 names for your baby" kind of books or websites (In my language, baby-ashtotthara shatanamaavali).

But the meanings they give for the names are not always corrent!

And by the way, the old city level leags behind... it simply doesnt go anywhere to lag behind! It stands proudly where it does whereas the maadran city (read ameerpet, panjagutta, etc) ever succumbs to the whims of the present times!

In short, its an example of "hre and now"

hehe...add "palak"(thankfully no dheergam there),"moulika!!" and "prajjna" (not the gnya sound...but jjna sound) behold..."neerajaksha"fall...
guys,i think, are spared of such extreme atrocities...i mean in relation...
but the one child name that killed me "swadesh"...a couple in my maha apartment named their second son so...after having named their first son "mann" (both being hits of the respective years in which they were born!!)...i wish those kids sue the parents!!

coming to guys, my generation witnessed spawning a whole new type of names...joint ones... like the "janti-vaahana" of BMTC!

srinivas manohar,
sai sudhindra,
venkata kamalakar, etc

coincidentally, many of these were in Ramaiah...
